Using X-rays, we can diagnose:

• bone fractures
• osteoarthritis
• spine problems
• dislocations
• bone
• cancer

X-ray examinations can also be used to monitor the healing of fractures and observe the success of orthopedic operations or bone growth in young animals.

In addition to bone tissue, X-rays can also see the condition of soft tissues, so we can use them to diagnose:

• heart enlargement
• chest or lung conditions such as pneumonia or asthma, cancer
• the presence of foreign bodies in the stomach or intestines
• kidney disease
• stones in the bladder
• constipation

X-rays are also used in dentistry to assess what is happening to the tooth's root below the gum line. They help us better diagnose your pet's dental problems that may be causing pain or discomfort. X-ray imaging is a safe and non-invasive procedure; if necessary, it is performed under light sedation.
